Pentax Australia Web Store prices
Posted By: sven84, 04-02-2013, 08:56 PM

These are not special prices but i assume are their everyday online prices now that the opening special is over.

https://www.crkennedy.com.au/pentax/index.php?q=catalog

A few examples of prices:

DA 15 LTD $649
FA 31 LTD $989
FA 43 LTD $584
FA 77 LTD $770

Very good prices for Australian Stock and local warranty support.

I am not sure if they ship overseas.

Just hide it from her and start using it. If she asks, just say you've always had it.

But that's what the baby bonus is for! New lenses!

I'm only stirring.

Just had an email from CRK in reply to my complaint to them of their pricing. The reply was prompt and in part advised they have started implementing parity pricing with US and in some cases my be better than US pricing. The reply also advised prices of accessory items such as eg. $399 for D-BG4 will be adjusted in the near future to fall in-line with this policy.

This is good news for all of us and might mean we won't have to resort to grey & overseas Shops.
.
Excellent... I want a O-GPS1 and a new grip for my K-5 (I bought a $53 3rd party which has been great for the money but it's starting to break down). It's a shame they didn't do this when B&H were selling DA50-135 for $995.. lol

My 1st FA 31 cost me $1650 and my DA*50-135 cost $1550. I sold that lens in disgust after it came back from a 4 month, all expenses paid, holiday in Japan, where it received a new SDM motor (it took off with with my DA*55 which got 'new gears'). When it returned I could not get it to focus reliably..I now believe it's more likely that my K-5 was the cause of the issue but I was pretty angry at the time and just decided enough was enough and sold it. I really wish I'd sent the camera and zoom to CRK for adjustment now as that was, without a doubt, my favourite lens. I just cannot bring myself to lugg around my, expensive and heavy, Nikkor 70-200 and D800E as a causal walk-around combo like I used to do with the DA*50-135 and my K-5. Hopefully I can replace a few lost lenses along the way over time now that CRK are being more competitive.

Sven and Munki, the secret is to hide away $50 a week or fortnight into a stash that way she doesn't notice the missing money

Ha ha,
That's what I've done with most of my gear. Including the K-30 itself.

It's C R Kennedy. I orderd a FA31 last Thursday night and got 15% off the price they had it going for ($990) - I got it for $841 + $20 for shipping. I got an email on Tuesday telling me the lens was on back order and that it would arrive in 3 weeks. The email was from CR Kennedy. I also called them and spoke with Scott, who I've spoken to a couple of times already re' other issues, so there's nothing to worry about.

I probably need the money for something else, like the security screens that I ordered and my holiday out at Coonabaraban to do some star photography at the observatory out there and food and the kids and, well now I am depressed.

CR Kennedy is very good at price matching grey market pricing. I have quite a few past dealings with them on a few of the limited lens and Sigma lens. All were dealt promptly and shipped very quickly. You can always send them a price match request compared to BnH and they will most likely oblige.
