Well I caved and got a yellow one. Don't really have a need for a K-5 and a K-01 but hey why not, life is short. Maybe I'll do some wide angle and narrow angle simultaneous astrophotography.

My yellow K-01 gets dirty too easily but at these prices I could get a black one and keep the yellow to gawk at,

The firmware revisions have helped the focusing issues immensely. I find I take the K-5 and the K-01 and use them as complementary companions.

Be curious to see if the Pentax revives the line with updates and better price point. Also, see how many have sold since the price has dropped and discontinued. I can see the K-01 having a large cult following. :-)

I feel sorry for Adorama. I wonder how many of those $300 Leather pouches they have sitting around - I'd venture that its 100% of what they ordered initially or 100% - 1.
