Why are the prices so low for this model. I think it was just launched last year?? Is there something wrong with this camera performance?

Don't get me wrong, these cameras are awesome machines, but everyone wants something shiny and full of the latest technology...

Seems weird, I've been looking for a good deal on K5 and K30. Their prices does not seem to fall. Now I find this baby boy camera going around $250. Wondering what to buy.

K5 and K30 prices are astronomically low right now. K5 probably won't go any lower, K30 will once it is discontinued, next year.

I know what you mean, I have been eyeing the K01 for a couple of days and now the white version with the DA 40 is selling for $399. I'm not sure I want to pay $150 for the DA40xs just to have a white version. Decisions, decisions.

Well the sensor is relatively old, but its the same as in the K-5 and K-30. The camera had lower sales than expected because photographers went crazy over its non-standard looks, so now the cameras are on sale to empty the stock. Its a competent camera, though, take a look at some sample photos or the K-01 forums.

Its a pretty great lens btw. Sharp, nice bokeh, lightweight, can always take it with you. And if you already have one, you can probably sell it off for almost that amount
