So what's the best place to buy a new DA 18-135? Is the adorama deal the best one? It includes on UV filter and one CPL filter.

I just received my 18-135 from Emmy's through Amazon. I got it for $409. It looks brand new has the caps and hood and came in a normal box with serial number card. It did have the Notification of Change in Company Name sheet in the box that states the name will be changed on October 1, 2011. So maybe this lens has been sitting around for a while? It doesn't matter to me I am super excited to have WR lens to go with my K-30.

Just remember that the paperwork is a serial number card and not a warranty card.

I ordered mine from Emmy Photo just now for $369. I mailed them to verify what's in the box and this is what they replied -

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the 18-135mm pentax lens has the lens hood, both caps and serial number card. Just like you would receive in a retail store. We get them directly from Pentax and they come in a black Pentax box. Pentax has a 1 year warranty that is valid at any pentax repair facility worldwide. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

I see that you ordered from Electronic Basket. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that Emmy Photo is better.

I actually ordered from both. EB I returned because it didn't come with a hood and the lens cap was scratched. I then ordered from Emmy and it came with everything but the SN card.

Received mine.
Came in a plain white box with the hood, but no paperwork. Seems to be brand new. I'll try it out over the weekend.

Just received mine from Emmy Photo. Came in Pentax box with all the paperwork like serial number card, Notification of change in company name and operating manual. Hood and front/rear caps are also included.

+1 from my side to Emmy Photo.

(Sorry for bad quality photo, taken from my 2yrs old phone).

I don't understand Emmy's inconsistencies.
