Possible Takumar bargain on ebay
Posted By: kcobain1992, 05-07-2013, 02:15 PM

Hi, I can't possibly bid on this listing, because of excessive shipping to my country, but I figured someone might be interested in these. I know the description says "for parts" and not much else, but that 100mm macro sure looks nice

That postage is expensive for a lot of places... Lucky I have working copies of all three so no temptation but that postage is a worry as is the lack of description - I hope some one on here scores them and can tell us just what the issues are... if any..

And problem is, they don't even list down what is not functioning...
Could it be so bad that all 3 lenses only has the glass elements that's facing the camera? LOL!

They are all SMCs. How much would you be willing to bet on the "non-functioning" part being the A/M switch? I already have a 55/2 and 3 35/3.5s so I'm out...

I hate to see a professional photos gear store says " do not have technicians on site, and cannot verify the issues concerned with the items". Really? While there are enough technicians for other items?
Price is low though, at this moment, worth trying. But who knows what's the final price. Put on my watching list. Thanks.

I have a K55/1.8, SMC Tak 55/1.8 and an AutoTak 55/1.8 as well as the SuperTak 55/2...the 100/4 is interesting, but I just don't have the funds to bet on this right now.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "non-functioning" means no aperture blades at all?
LoL!

Well, it ended at $127, hardly a bargain at that price. I hope for the buyer that the lenses only have minor problems

Eh, I wouldn't call it "hardly a bargain."

Most of the Henry's "non-functioning" lenses merely have oily aperture blades or a broken aperture spring. $127 is maybe a bit more than I would have been willing to bid (probably up to $100 or so), but for close to $300 worth of lenses, the money saved even at tis ending price more than outweighs the hour or so of work it would likely take to get all 3 functioning.
