Is Emmy Photo legit? And, does anyone know if a pentax purchased from them come covered by a pentax warrantee in the US?

Emmy Photo is legit. If you find something wrong with the camera, you can take advantage of Amazon's awesome return policy that Emmy Photo offers.

As far as I know Emmy is legit. The order would be "fulfillment by Amazon". Meaning you'd purchase the camera from Emmy, third-party seller, but Amazon handles the entire order on their behalf. In fact the camera would ship from an Amazon fulfillment center.

The warranty? I assume the camera is not gray market and has US warranty. Then again it would be best on ask Amazon CS.

Looks like a good price.

I sent an email to Emmy and asked if the product would be covered by pentax's warrantee here in the u.s.. I'll lost the results when I hear back from them.

I've been trying to find out if they are authorized pentax dealers. I can't find conclusive info either way, but it seems like others think they might not be.

I just got my K-30 from Emmy, arrived right on time, brand new and perfect in every way. I wrote to pentax USA and verified that my purchase IS covered under full US warranty because I bought through Amazon, so they are an authorized dealer.

Everything is good, buy with confidence!

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the K-30 has all the original packaging and accessories from Pentax. We get them directly from Pentax and they have a 1 year warranty that is valid at any Pentax repair facility worldwide. The box isn't "sealed" it's just a tab you open from the factory. Yesterday I got DA 18-135 WR lens I had ordered from Emmy Photo. This was NOT fulfilled by Amazon. The lens was $130 cheaper compared to Adorama and B&H. It arrived as expected in a Pentax box with hood, caps and all the documentation.

That puts Emmy Photo in legit category in my book.

It is possible that, like Electronics Basket, Emmy Photo may only be a distributer with no physical retail point. Possibly just an office and warehouse. Electronics Basket has a warehouse in Somerset, New Jersey. But if Amazon fulfills the Emmy Photo order, perhaps they don't even have that much. Either way, on the recommendations in this string, I ordered a K-30 body from Emmy for $499 last night.
