Hmm...I don't have exact figures, but we've given up on Seagate drives quite some time ago due to too high failure rates. WD has been good at work, I'm told by our engineers, so that's what I've acquired lately to supplement my home storage solution and backup rotation, and I haven't had any issues with those.
On the other hand, I just dumped two 1TB Seagates that'd given up on me (had been used as Aperture vault - but was due for replacement anyways as I was running short on space on it).
On the third hand, I have a 32GB Seagate HD laying here that just refuses to die....
