Tele Wide Viewfinders for K-01 and Q/Q10
Posted By: crewl1, 05-29-2013, 01:00 PM

The Tele-Wide viewfinders are starting to show up on eBay again after a period of scarcity.
Prices and condition will vary widely so do your homework.
Look closely at the mount style, make sure they have a hot shoe mount and not a clip style mount.

Here are some examples

The kits can come cheap (viewfinder + 2 adapter lenses for a rangefinder) but do not expect to recoup any cost by selling the adapter lenses, they mostly go unsold if there is no viewfinder included

Not much IMHO. Optically they are mediocre and they are HEAVY to boot. I'd be a bit afraid that they could damage the threads on a lens.

I held my "wide angle adapter" in front of the DA35 Macro and it both made the view a bit wider and introduced all kinds of "optical specialness" (flare, fringing, CA, etc.). Gave up trying to find a 55mm step-down ring after that... nice paperweights, though!

Larry, you continue to demonstrate thoughtfulness and enthusiasm for the Qsers with your research and frequent posts.

Given that they were made for the equivalent of a compact PnS, we shouldn't expect them to be suitable for the Hubble

I managed to get a Tele-Wide and Adapter set in a leather case. They came with a free Yashica Electro, so I have a use for the adapters.

Same here. They are heavy and are Objets d'intérêt for my desk I suppose.

Oh, I forgot to mention the leather case that the kits usually come in are a good fit for a couple of DA Limiteds in a back to back configuration
