There is under Amazon price list of other sellers. And one of them sells k-30 for 10 bucks less (with free shipping). But there is some minor discussions on Internet about their legitime status. Although no evidences of screeming scam or bad service. Rating on Amazon.com is good too.

The Service Engine Soon light turned on in my car today (just had it serviced about a week ago too) so I'm gonna hold off on any major purchases until that gets figured out. Plus I already have 3 K-01s so it's not like I'd really notice any differences in IQ anyway if I ended up with a K-30 as well. I also rarely have the urge to go out shooting in the rain. Have to admit the price is super tempting though...

Probably better off putting the money towards a DA15 instead.

Blue is only $449, great price!

I love my K-30, maybe I should sell the K-01 and get another one...? Most of my lenses are on the large and heavy side and they're a bit awkward on the K-01.

Supply, demand, clearing the channel, freeing capital for fresh merchandise .... are there any other words of wisdom that come to mind?

Now, why didn't I read my own tea leaves and buy the Sigma 50-150 before it vanished? (Answer: I was waiting for a good-sized check and didn't want to add to the cards. I think I have an entirely un-modern attitude toward spending.)

I got a black K-30 for $499 in late May. I can't complain. That's still a good price and I'm satisfied. Any price under $500 is very good.

Bought it today from Amazon Black body only for 469 $. Guys can you please suggest a lens for K-30. I am a beginner and after extensive research I bit the bullet. This is my first DSLR and I would like to shoot landscape and bokeh kind of pics. Apologies if my question sounds stupid , I am just a beginner !

My recommendation for a first basic lens is some model of the Sigma 17-70, 2.8-4. For me, it's a "house and garden" lens, also good for just walking about if you don't need the longer telephoto right away. Other than that, a 18-250 covers just about the whole focal length range although it's slower and I'm not all that happy with the IQ, particularly at the long end.

For two lenses, perhaps the SIgma 17-70 and the Pentax 55-300? The IQ is good; certainly my copy of the Pentax telephoto is noticeably better at the long end than the Sigma 18-250.

Thanks Glangois for your quick response. Would consider Sigma 17-70, 2.8-4. If you dont mind , I would like to know your views on these lenses as well: Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 (fixed aperture)
Pentax 21977 DA 18-135mm WR

I'm afraid I can't help much more. I've not used the Tamron and generally limit use of the Pentax WR to poor weather conditions. I suggest checking reviews here in the Lens Reviews forum as well as formal reviews at other Web sites.

My only add'l comment is the usual: think about what you're trying to achieve, the subjects you have in mind, the audience, and the conditions in which you want to shoot. We can offer options but only you know what you want out of the photo experience.
