K-30 with 18-135 discontinued at B&H
Posted By: austinmark, 07-01-2013, 02:03 PM

Some time between Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon, B&H ran out of the K-30 with 18-135mm lens kits. The sales guy on the phone said that Pentax had discontinued the kit -- despite the Pentax site not saying that and despite the B&H site saying on Saturday that their rebate deal extended thru 7/5.

Anywho, Adorama still has it, but the rebate is gone, and the price is back up to $1,046.95.

Still $50 cheaper than the K-50 kit, though I think it's cheaper still if you pick up everything separately.

Indeed, but they were doing a pre-K50 launch rebate through the weekend, that's now disappeared at Adorama, too. I picked up my K-30 with 18-135mm for $896. A hefty chunk of change, but a nice discount from the non-rebated price.

It probably isn't - B&H marks things discontinued when they aren't, all of the time...search the forum and you'll find a thread like this posted once a month. It is just how their inventory system works.

Indeed. I would call B&H and see if you can still order the kit over the phone.
