Maybe the issue is resolved on these faster cards. Seems everyone with issues(myself included) was on the 40mps card. My K30 is SLOW to write to any card, I don't think I would see any difference except when uploading to my PC.

I thought I should follow up as I bought a 94Mb Sony card locally in the UK instead. It's much quicker in my K-5 than the Sandisk 30Mbs one I had, writing possibly 2.5-3x quicker (based on my rough judgement of the amber access light) and gives me possibly 3-4 extra shots after rapid burst (was 19, now 23 or so).

I got one of these Sony 32 GB/94Mb/sec cards, too. It works in my K-5, X-5, Q, K-10D and K-20D, ,but gives a "Memory Card Error" when tried in My K-01... so I think I'll go back to SanDisk, too.

Have you updated your K-01's firmware? Sounds like Pentax has some bugs they need to fix still!

Yes, K-01 firmware is rev 1.03. Since they are releasing new K-01s, at least in Japan, perhaps there will be a firmware update to address this problem.

Just wanted to give an update, bought one of these to use in my K-30. Got very nervous reading the posts here. Well, formatted it, and went out shooting yesterday. Took over 500 photos and never a write error and worked flawlessly! I have the latest soft wear up grade. This seems to be very good quality and it is very fast both up and down loading. Thanks Adam for posting this, it's a great card and a very reasonable price!
