Pentax 35mm for $150 and 50mm for $120. Other lenses too.

Pentax is having a sale on lenses. There are a few on sale but these two seem pretty good. The 35mm is $150 and the 50mm is half off at $120.

I tried to buy a DA50, using my US postal address but it requires a US credit card address too.

I could buy one locally, at three times the price. Or I could just go to Nikon.

Pentax is making Nikon look attractive for customers outside the US.

I tried the same thing. Used my delivery address as the billing address in desperation, and my order is now pending card authorization, but will almost certainly be rejected. Sigh - Pentax, I'm trying to give you my money!

Saw the forum post on facebook, clicked this link, went to Ricoh site, bought lens.

Quickest spontaneous purchase I have ever made.

Once you add the lens to your cart (The screen where it says PROCEED TO CHECKOUT), choose to close the browser tab, a pop window from Pentax flashes a message offering free shipping for purchase of over $99. Click the link and the shipping fee vanished. So DA 50mm f/1.8 for $119.95 flat. Woot!
Thanks for saving me 10 bucks.

I recently sold my F 50/1.7 after I bought an A 50/1.7 on the cheap.
Now I'm sitting on my hands to keep from buying the 1.8.
and I have enough money in my PayPal account from fleabay sales.
and they take PayPal.
and, and..................

Looks like the PENTAX DA 35mm F2.4AL is now sold out, and back up to its $219.95 price.

Appears to still be available. I just purchased it (scared it might sell out like the 35mm), along with a hand strap, all with free shipping.

I hope these great deals are nothing more than a “Sale” rather than a sign of stock clear-out in preparation for lens brand transition from Pentax to Ricoh - as they did with their FA.Security lens line up. Information / FA?Security | Ricoh Global

At first I was jacked that I missed the DA35 deal--this was to be my stepping stone to the 35 Ltd--but now I hope the DA50 sells out soon because I told myself I don't need an AF 50! Especially one with 52mm threads--what the crap is that about anyway?
