Especially attractive when their prices are up to double that of US. Not.

I was advised in writing 6 months ago they would be reviewing and aligning prices to US - that has not happened.

The DA 50mm f1.8 is comparable. A$189 = US$168.

Take off another A$19 and that equals US$152 - it's US$182 in the US - see
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-price-watch/233138-da-50mm-1-8-181...own-246-a.html

The DA 18-270 is A$699 before discount = US$623. After discount = US$561.

Adorama's price is US$797 = A$890

Admittedly, one has to add shipping in Oz.

In several recent cases their prices have been less than you would pay from the US. Please research your trolling before you troll.

The Aussie dollar isn't very strong against the US dollar at the moment - A$1 = US$ 0.89

Yeah, but you pay three times the postage from the USA, and get no warrantee. Where does that few % savings go then?

I just bought a k5 ii from them for $910 including delivery, which is about 10% off normal price. I recommend Kennedy's for a competitive price.

Regards

Hmmm, yep most of the prices ive researched lately have been better or very comparable considering the shipping costs you would have to add into the price if buying from the US.
Now for my forehead slap moment, brought a lens through the Ebay store trying to save a few bucks rather than go through their webstore and 2 hours later i receive the 10% spring promo email

cheers
Darren

N=1 sample. Yes, I bought my D-BG4 from the USA as well. The difference was too big to ignore.
There are far more examples of very competitive, or even better, prices from local webstores.

I keep on getting a 'Waiting for www.crkennedy.com.au' message this evening, and then it times out.

Whoever is hosting or providing connectivity to their site is a bozo. The CRK site has always run slow and flakily.

Bought some gear from Pentax Australia recently as it has been price competitive. In some cases it has been cheaper to buy new in Australia, than even second hand in North America. Also purchased second hand gear from Japanese Stores on Ebay.

Thanks for mentioning this as an example because I couldn't find this lens on the C R Kennedy website, it only appears on the Pentax Australia web store page.
