Close to the old price, pre insane price hikes. I wonder if they will be liquidating the SMC DA Limiteds soon, to make room for the HD.

Yes, the SMC limiteds are being replaced by the HD ones. They won't be around for much longer.

I've been trying to decide between this (or the 40mm XS) and the Sigma 30mm 1.4..

I've decided that I'll probably use the Sigma for work and while I'm in the states, and when I travel I would use the pancake I guess.

I just wish there was a nice really large aperture regular pancake. Something around 30mm and 1.8

BTW, new user here!

Hehe, "pancake" and "large aperture" are mutually-exclusive

Samsung 30mm f2. Not an slr lens, but it is a gem.

That's a great price. I paid $275 in 2006.

The closest thing to a "fast" pancake in an SLR lens is probably the Voigtlander 40mm f2. It's an excellent lens, although I wouldn't say that it's any better than the DA40. Of course it is a full stop faster.

This nice deal is still available. B&H couldn't match adorama's $499 on the 15mm, but they should have plenty of the other Limiteds in stock for a while from what I know.
