This is a better deal than the Hunts one for the K30 with all the extras you get. Plus you can add the 50mm for only $116 more.

Wow that actually is a good deal... The only real difference between this and the Hunt's K30 is that this is the DA L 18-55 and Hunts' kit contained the DA 18-55.

Returned my unopened Nikon back to Costco and ordered the K-50 kit.

At first I was considering waiting until Black Friday but this deal was great enough that I had to pull the trigger. Bang bang!

What had you ordered for a Nikon?

I actually ordered one of these as well, and i also used the 5% Adorama discount from the other thread on here. I hope you did the same, it saved me an extra $25. I also ordered the DA 50mm lens for the additional bundle deal $65 off because i've been wanting that lens as well.

Now to decide whether to A) Sell my K-30 and keep the K-50 or B) Sell the K-50...... Decisions decisions.

And I did use the 5% discount (thanks Adam!).

This is only my first DSLR so I'm gonna get warmed up with the kit lens and learn the basics of using the camera, and then proceed from there.

Sort of off topic here but that's a good price on the D5100, where did you find that?

You made a good choice going with Pentax... I love my K-30 (I used to own a Canon Rebel XS).

It was at my local Canadian Costco. Every few months the price drops to about $499 and then hops to $529 or $569. I'm sure it'll drop again near Black Friday around the web.

I feel the same. The K-50 (and the K-30) are both great cameras - especially considering their price and what they come with. Throw in a kit lens, $200 gift card, bag and 32GB Class 10 card, and you can't really go wrong. Now just a week to wait before it arrives.

. A post above mentioned getting the DA 50mm lens for $116, I searched the adorama webesite and the cheapest I could find was $181. Is there something I am missing here?

You can get it for $116 when bundled with a DSLR (at the time of purchase). Alone, it costs $181.

if you add the lens manually, it doesn't show the extra savings, but when viewing the camera deal, click on link that is under "Buy together and save" then scroll down to find the lens you want

Appears the K-50 bundle is in stock, but the DA 50mm lens is back ordered. The lens is probably holding up your whole order.

This thread mentions that if you call customer service, they may split your order and send your camera now.
