US Import charges $153.15, Confirmed at Checkout = $1203.15

At least that's how I read it.

They were quick off the mark.

They also have a K-3 kit (K-3 body, 18-135) for US $1499. Allentown, Pennsylvania is the location.

I actually stumbled across this myself like 20 minutes ago when searching for listings for the 18-135mm WR lens.

Seller seems a bit sketchy so I would personally be cautious with this one. It could just be me, but they don't have a lot of current listings and they seem to sell everything from new/used electronics to broken electronics to razor blades.

I just find it odd.

If the import charges are a separate item it seems the item is not currently in US and so needs to cross the national boundary where it gets hit for taxes. That sounds like grey market.

I called the number, it is a pawn shop, and no import charges showed up when I put it into a basket.

Yeah I think that Import charge only appeared because the eBay link in this thread is to the eBay Canada site and that is where the Import charge shows up. If you just go to eBay and search for this product, it comes up and shows this price with no Import charges.

Ahem. Did they fall off a truck?

Didn't look at the URL. Should have assumed better.

I was kind of wondering the same thing. It seems odd that they have them when the only other company who has any stock is B&H at this point.

And I can't imagine that someone pre-ordered a K-3 and then suddenly found themselves needing to sell it so bad that they went to a pawn shop to do so, where they would likely have gotten 50% of what they paid for it.

Something doesn't add up.

The K-3 and 18-135 ad has photos of the box with all the bar codes and serials on it. The photo of the bottom of the K-3 in that kit also clearly shows the serial number. It it was 'hot', I don't think the seller would be keen to reveal the serial.

I contacted the seller yesterday and asked if it is a USA version or imported version, any warranty. He replied me he did not know how to tell, and there is no warranty card. It is a kind of weird

Someone should call them and ask the tough question "So where did you get this camera from?"

Actually I asked him can I have the original receipt along with it? The answer is NO

I would say it wouldn't be worth buying this from a pawn shop to save $150 and have no clue where this thing came from or what has been done to it.

Just my $.02
