Wells Amazon does like to move prices up an down. Maybe Ricoh has dropped MAP for the holiday season?

Oh I so want to add this to my cart and the BG5 battery grip, but I am going to wait until after January so that it will be on next years taxes as a business expense.

I'll have to wait. Amazon charges sales tax for my state, 6.5%, that would wipe out the savings.
Besides there is no kickback to the the forum from Amazon, is there?

B&H might have some black friday deals on the K-3, but I can't make any promises. We'll have to wait and see!

There won't be MAP restrictions next weekend, so they might be able to drop the price if their cost is lower than $1220, etc.

BTW, Amazon has run out of K3 stock (in their own warehouse) and is backordered. But one can still place an order at the 1220 price. Not sure what that means - i suppose its guaranteed for me to get it at that price or is it. In any case, i think i'll wait based on Adams comments.

What i'm most glad about is the popularity of the K3 at Amazon and BHPhoto. Go Ricoh!

The price has been moving up today now that its out of stock was as low as 1219, now $1269.

I have noticed Amazon's pricing on stuff can fluctuate multiple times per day. I monitor certain items by putting then into my cart and then clicking "Save for Later" then anytime I go to my cart, it will tell me if the price has changed. The K-3 w/ 18-135mm WR lens kit has decreased in price 3 times today, for example.

I find it fascinating how frequently pricing changes.

That's correct and Amazon has already started charging sales tax for every state. They've been doing it for a few months now.
