I got that email too. Not really fair considering I've sworn off buying things until I get a K3. I even have a long set of items on the For Sale table. Sure, they're things I don't use often, but stil . . . .

RE: The Pentax Webstore, don't forget SureSource (provider of the Pentax Webstore) is a Direct-to-Customer Dealer, just like any other Dealer - nothing more, nothing less. They plan, order and warehouse inventory themselves and make marketing deals in conversation wtih but independent of RIAC.

They have a contract to serve as the Ricoh Imaging Americas - Pentax storefront since that is their business model - but that's all they are. AFAIK Pentax is not the only brand that uses this company as thier only storefront for their principal brand, but most companies just market thier logo merchandise and apparel through SureSource.

BTW, did you notice it is the RICOH Holiday Sales Incentuive?

You may not be able to repeat it Adam - but have you heard anything from

sources about the K-5 series' production run?
I can make myself wait for closeouts in 3-6 months if that's what is up... but holidays can be a great time for deals regardless.

unfortunately nothing that is *really* excited for me to consider buying this year.
Except the Sigma 18-35.

Looking for FF deal though, maybe this is the year I'll pull the trigger. Just that I know that feeling of leaving PENTAX will hurts....

Actually, it's not my mind that I'm worried about...

that fuse went out long ago, and they don't make that kind any more. Wallet combustion is the main concern!

Amazon warehouse (used / returned items) have a couple K-5 II non-s for around 704 USD right now..
