I'm sure that's the CRK plan.
I was hoping it would be, which is why I waited until now before ordering.

It looks like the Abbott government is about to remove the $1000 GST exemption for web purchases from overseas, so B&H etc may be much less attractive for Aussies soon. I bet the local prices will then go up proportionately ... since they can.
At least the Pentax prices were made more consistent across the world, unlike so many things (especially software - US prices are so much lower, it's ridiculous). Removing the $1K exemption (or at least lowering it) should help local businesses and reduce the funds being sent offshore to Hong Kong and elsewhere. Actually, I wouldn't mind paying GST if I didn't pay tax in the other country as well. Paying GST on top of taxes from the source country is annoying.

Is it my imagination, or did they drop the price on the 16-50 recently, I can't remember it being under $1k pre discount. $871 after discount seems good. This could be an expensive xmas.

Agreed. I'm going to have to review all the range before I decide what to order! It's a bit depressing to see the DA 16-45 f4 listed for only $250. Awesome price for anyone who doesn't have one, but depressing for me to have paid over $500 for mine and it was discounted at the time! Why would you bother with a kit zoom when you can get that lens for that price? WR is about the only thing I can think of.

It seems that the Pentax HD 55-300mm WR lens is not included in the 10% OFF discount.

The FA 31/1.8 is not included either.

As a matter of fact, none of the lens models I've tried were eligible for "10OFF". I made sure I tried some that were part of last year's "black friday" discount scheme.

I've tried the K-3 with "5OFF" and saw the discount.

Are the lens discounts not activated yet?

Guys, I think CRK need to update their site - it looks like the web store isn't accepting the code for any lens yet. I have emailed them.

OK, folks - I'm advised by CRK the code should work now for all lenses. I have tried it with one.

Be careful not to mix cameras with lenses using these discounts as only 1 coupon per order can be used. So you get either a lens discount or a camera discount. For those looking for both it seems the best way is to do 2 separate orders.

Good point! I'm told that the discount should apply to all lenses if you order several in one order however. I was worried that it would only apply to one per order but this isn't the case.

Mind you, I saw some ridiculously low prices advertised by a Hong Kong camera store - as in half retail - but I don't see how the lenses could possibly be brand new.

Camera Paradise. Being a Hong Kong dealer, I'm suspicious of any deal that seems too good to be true.

Great price for the 16-50 but need a K3 first. Also wondering about the 18-70 formerly Da* road map lens or a HD upgrade with a lens motor you can trust.
