Somebody Buy This, Put Me Out Of My Misery, PLEASE...
Posted By: magkelly, 11-27-2013, 08:34 PM

I have to pay every cent in my bank account on Monday (plus kill my credit card) to fix my darned bathtub or I'd be on this one like bunch of hungry fleas on a wet dog. I can't STAND the idea that it's on there for sub $400 used and I can't buy it so please, please, someone buy the it so I can stop watching it on Amazon and sighing? CRYSTAL RED K-30 gently used from the warehouse $378. HOLY, well you know what!!! Seriously this is a great deal and it would make me very happy to see someone on here get this sexy thing. If I can't have it then I want to live vicariously and watch someone else on here enjoy this pretty....

I'd been looking at that very one last week, for $390! Would look great with the new red-band HD lenses, that's for sure
While waiting for it to drop a little more, I found a K-7 with 18-55WR for $100 less than that at the global auction site (GAS ) - game over, for now.

EDIT - game on, the K-5 II is on the way. Ouch!
But the cute red K30 remains to torment you

Of all the K-30's this is the one I covet. It is a very pretty color. Though just for the record I saw a blue one for less than $450 too the other day....

I can't stop looking at it. Someone on here has to buy it. I can't stand looking at it and I can't stand not looking at it, grrr. I'm about to hang a certain little kitten by his hind paws from the ceiling. Never try cooking Thanksgiving while a kitten is in the room. It will drive you nuts. This wasn't in the plan either. We were supposed to be eating out today, sigh...

If you can't afford it, don't look at it.

Our kitty sat on the computer chair, daring me to buy something - good news or bad, we have a spare (computer, not cat!)
Here's my answer Mag: remove a few bookmarks, delete some history, and go enjoy a cold-turkey holiday. My phone will tell me if the K-7 gets any attention, but any other sales must stay away from my personal viewfinder for a while! The K-7 was the ideal budget answer to my needs, but pay-me-later took me by the throat - buy or die - that's adrenaline, right?

You guys are lucky- my 19 yo kitty died last year..

But back to this- I can't decide between this k30, the $599 k-5II and the $799 k5ii with 18-135 or Nikon D7000 with 18-140 for $799.
I have pentax lenses and 0 nikon, but wonder if the better nikon autofocus etc is important enough to switch--and if so, don't really want to put more money into pentax. Honest help please?

I have k-01, 10-20, da 35, 55-300, M28 and M50.

I have the k30 and really like it. Amazon had a lightening deal earlier today for the D7000 that looked pretty good and they have another Nikon DSLR deal coming up later also. May be worth checking out if you are contemplating a switch.

thanks, I already got that D7000 deal from best buy yesterday, before I knew about these. should be the same as amazon, except for the tax.

What can I say? I've been doing my very best, but that's THE camera in my sig, the one I've only been drooling over since the very first pics of them were released. I can't help but look, lol. I can cheerfully ignore the rest of them, but that crystal red K-30, it's so pretty it deserves a T-shirt, grin.

Sounds like what you need is a part time job on the weekends for a few weeks, bank the cash, buy the camera, live happy. Sacrifice your time now for the thing you want later.
