I also bought the K5 II 18-135mm kit from BH on BlackFriday. I am pretty sure I saw the 4% reward with this camera. After two months, I sent an email to BH to check the 4% credit status but they said I am not eligible as Mee mentioned in his post. What a hassle to deal the reward thing with BH! Will think again to buy stuff from them in the future.

You got a K-5ii w/ 18-135mm WR lens for $799. That's an insane price and nobody else (even on Black Friday) was coming close to a deal like that. Are you really that upset about missing out on $31.96 in rewards, when you saved hundreds of dollars on what you purchased?

We should be happy that B&H even offered such amazing prices that day, I know I am. I wasn't even in the market for a camera, all I wanted was an 18-135mm WR lens for my K-30, but when I realized I could get the $496 lens WITH a K-5ii for $799, it was a no brainer.

We should be happy that B&H even offered such amazing prices that day, I know I am. I wasn't even in the market for a camera, all I wanted was an 18-135mm WR lens for my K-30, but when I realized I could get the $496 lens WITH a K-5ii for $799, it was a no brainer.

The lens is often bundled to the point it is not a 500 dollar lens.. I've seen it on bundles where the price could be considered 200 dollars in some cases.. it is really worth around 250-300 though on the market.

It is all hypothetical... I mean, hypothetically, the K-5ii wasn't selling well and they could have an influx of them sitting in the warehouse. Hypothetically, they could have bought these wholesale for 500-600 dollars a piece. Hypothetically, they still made a LOAD of money off of us on this sale.

I don't think the price was all that low for this. Technically, it was around 200-300 dollars off the then current going price for the kit if you shopped around. That is a nice sale price, but it isn't 'firesale about to lose it all, please buy it so I get some recoup on my inventory' pricing. It was just a good sale... good enough for me to spring onto haha.

And I'm sorry you see this all as whining. I think that is a large issue in society. Not many are willing to stand out of the crowd; most everyone crumbles and doesn't want to be the squeeky wheel. The whole mentality of 'thank you sir, may I please have another' is alive and well. As a result, companies small and large tend to run consumers over. Remember, they are NOT our friends (not our enemies either). They are trying to make the most amount of money off of us as possible while making us think we're buddy-buddy and getting good deals. That isn't meant in a negative or aggressive form either.. just please be cognizant of this maybe not to get too comfy around salesmen or with companies selling you products. They want your money, not your friendship.

That said, I suspect there will be similar, really nice sale offers next year too. They offered a deal and we kept them to the terms of it. I see nothing wrong, whiny, or harmful in that. It isn't like they are going to 'punish' us for standing up. And, if they do, then do you really want to buy from someone who would treat you in that manner?

Already searched - gmail is pretty good about not losing anything. Still have the original shipping notification, etc.

Actually, the same search finds my email with my 4% b&h rewards for a tripod purchase a year ago.

Actually the reward was a factor to let me pull the trigger. Now they say "we are sorry we are not going to honor the reward because you do not have the proof to show the 4% reward". What the h**k! It sounds like they just try to get you on the hook, once you get on the hook and then they just forget what they promised!

I suspect somebody at B&H made a big mistake at the time. There's no way it was intentional.
