They're virtually the same camera. The K-5 IIs doesn't have an optical low pass filter, so it's slightly sharper when paired with ultra-sharp primes. But at $599...the K-5 II is better!

There won't be any drops on the K-3, at least not at B&H or Adorama. Pentax isn't budging on the MAP price.

Shoot was hoping for some discount on K-3 and if not then the K-5 IIs. Hmm . . . What to do . . . This is about half the price of the K-3 kit and could use the difference towards a FA 31, which I noticed is at 966.95. Is 966.95 a Black Friday price for the FA 31?

Also, Is the extended warranty good on this, on B&H says the extended warranty is discontinued, but on Adorama says they have it and it's good for all current cameras. With this being a Fire Sale is it still considered current??

EDIT: Found the same extended warranty on B&H that Adorama has, so is it good for this camera being a Fire Sale?

Extended warranty is good since B&H is an authorized dealer. Make sure to get one, it is a no-brainer option.
