I bit on this as well with the 18-135. This is my pattern to wait for the bargain when the new model comes out. If it does not have the focus problems of its predecessor, this will be more than worth it.

I went ahead and bought the body and will have to hope that I can find an 18-135 at a reasonable price somewhere. Not sure if I will get support credit or not as I originally used the PF link but in the process of comparing had an unbelievable number of tabs open at once, so who knows where I actually ended up.

Sure hope it's the step up from my Kx that I anticipate.

I would keep your eyes peeled on the marketplace here for 18-135mm WR lenses. I bet some people bought the kits with the intent of selling the lens to turn a little profit (I mean for $200 extra, $100 profit is realistic).

I was going to refer back to this post on another thread for someone but noticed that it is now discontinued. B&H most have sold out of all the body only K-5ii's. They still have the K-5ii with 18-55 WR for $699.

I am in a similar situation. I had a samsung gx10 (k10d) and for some reason switched to Canon. Had a 40d for a brief while but sold it.
I recently got a Ricoh GR and loved it so much I jumped back on board with the 5II because of this sale. LBA to soon follow I am sure.

it was only up to 40 usd off using the 40% off codes and that meant the price for the ST warranty is quite a bit less in price at BH on checkout than using the coupon directly with ST after the fact. But better than nothing if you missed the offer on checkout and wanted this sort of warranty!
