Yeah it is heftier for sure. but not by a ton. I think it really depends on the lens though with how it feels..

For those coming from a K-x or K-r, you will note the heft. I 'weighed' both my K-30 with an 18-200 and the K-5ii with an 18-135 and the K5ii was only slightly heavier to me. Noticeable but not terrible..

And I want to try out a dbg4 too.. if only to get back to my eneloop AAs hehe
Yeah one reason it feels like more a difference than it probably is is because I have the 18-55 WR attached to my K30 and the 18-135 WR attached to the K-5ii, definitely a difference in lens weight too.... Overall it's not a big deal to me, I can handle the weight but I do see the purpose for having a grip on the K-5ii. Even though the K30 can't take a grip, I never felt like I even needed one on it.

Well,

So excited today to get my 18-135 K-5II kit! It got delivered, but they sent the wrong kit - sent the 18-55mm kit instead!!! Very disappointed in Adorama support so far. I also emailed them on Monday about price adjustments for Lightroom 5 (lower price at Adorama, B&H, Newegg and Amazon) and the FA31mm (lower price at B&H) and never received a response.

I guess I should have ordered from B&H. Anyone else ever had issues with Adorama?

I emailed them about shipping the wrong kit, we'll see what happens. So disappointed that I can't use my camera and will now have to wait once again!

I've had an issue with Adorama too. But I've also had an issue with BH.. I still trust BH wayyyyyy more than Adorama.

Never had an issue with Adorama, but BH included the wrong invoice in my order. My flash arrived OK, but it had an invoice for an 18-270 purchased by some woman in another state. Odd.

Yes, yes I have. There is a customer service rep that posts here sometimes, you may try contacting her. Helen Oster, I think

Mine arrived today. I was actually impressed with how small and light the combo with the 18-135 is. The difference in weight between this combo and the kit lens is not noticeable. Now, to test the focus with my problem children lenses, such as the 16-50 or the FA35/2--lenses that were stalwarts, but never seemed to partner as well with the K5.

I think (hope) you will be very pleased. I had AF issues with some lenses on my K-5 also - with the K-5IIs all my lenses worked perfectly without any AF adjustment.

Well, I guess I screwed up on this one. I did in fact order the K-5II 18-55 kit from Adorma at 799 - I guess I was just too excited and didn't pay attention, can't believe I fell for that one. Adorama however will not match any of the lower prices on Monday even though I notified them on Monday, not even their own prices. Said their policy to match prices doesn't include sale prices, well when else are the prices lower

Last time I order from Adorama. B&H it is from now on. Sorry, just venting.

If anyone wants to sell their 18-135mm WR from the kit for a slight profit, pm me

I'd be VERY mad. To the point of returning it & swearing off that retailer.

B&H is selling again (temporarily?) the K5-II 18-135 mm kit for 849 USD as I saw in the last hours. 50 $ above the Black Friday price.

Worth considering even for someone in Europe. Including the import fees paid to B&H still a lower price than many times locally in EUR.
