I bought my K-30 from these guys in September and didn't have a single problem. Most the doom and gloom is because people have unrealistic expectations. Some of these companies buy the lens kits and sell out the lens separate and then people are mad because the box says something different.

The only reason I posted it because I have bought from them before.

As far as the used market price, I would warn new members here that if people have something for sale and you don't like the price you PM them and not put it in open forum. We all want best dollar for our equipment.

Don't know if you are referring to my earlier post, but I was referring to the Ebay ads for used K-5 iis, which I have been following closely. If it also applies to PF marketplace, which I rarely follow, then that's too bad. Shoe fits, and all that.... I didn't see anyone calling anyone's sale out by name. I'd like to think we can speak generally about the overall used camera market, a market that extends far beyond this site.

I just received mine, the day before Christmas (!), from DAVISMax through Amazon. It was $752 delivered. I do believe the folks who are selling theirs used need to be made aware of the new pricing regime, because I started looking at the used ones first.

BTW--I just upgraded from my K-7 (which was awesome in its own right) and I am SO happy. The K-7 was great in daylight, but for situations like the picture below, my K-01 was blowing it away. Now I've got a similar capability in mirrorless and rugged SLR. VERY happy. Merry Christmas!

Great Lakes Cameras also sells the same camera through Amazon for
about $20 more. Their customer feedback is a bit better: 4% negative in the last 30 days as opposed to 6% negative.

Who the hell are these no name resellers anyway? Things were much simpler when Amazon was the reseller and authorized by Pentax to do so.

Today it is at 733 dollars delivered from one of the above resellers. It is probably the lowest I have seen for a New body anywhere online.
