I talked to a guy at Fredrick's in St. Catharines Ontario, who was saying Pentax Canada is sold out of K-3s. He has some on order and can't get them. That's a pretty good indication they've sold everything they had and are looking for more. You can't do any better than that. He also speculated k-3 sales have been through the roof, because it's the first real upgrade, since the K-5. I just didn't see the K-5II and IIs as enough of an upgrade to warrant purchasing. Obviously, there were a lot of other people thinking the same way.

I wouldn't read too much into this, in that other stores do have K-3s, so it's not like there aren't any in Canada, but it is an indication they've sold beyond expectation.

I just happened to be looking on the B&H site late on the 24th and saw the K-3 offer. Had just received my new K-5iis. Had also noticed low prices on the K-3 on Amazon and was having remorse. Maybe I should have bought the K-3? Couldn't sleep. At 2AM I Got up and Ordered the K-3 from B&H with 2 year extended warranty. Got the grip, card and lens! Sent back the unused K-5iis . Too bad I couldn't keep it too. (Kr will serve as backup body). Love the K-3. Absolutely love it.

I'm also having trouble getting a match on this promotion and have been told a number of contradictory things. I ordered my k-3 on the 15th and time is running out on my 30day window. I've been trying for several days now.

The free grip offer came from Pentax/Ricoh. Quantities were very limited. Once that batch was gone, the remaining grips in inventory were those we'd bought and paid for.

That presumes both the grip and memory card were purchased by the retailer at full wholesale prices, which is not the case here.

The deal that I (and others) missed over Christmas looks like it's back up on the B&H website today. Includes the K-3 body, BG-5 grip, 50mm 1.8 lens, and a 32GB SD card, as well as 4% rewards eligibility. Too good to pass up the second time around for me .
