Interesting that the HD version of the DA15/4 is actually cheaper than the SMC version.

It's because noone actually really checks the pricelists, the old DA 55-300 is $120 more DA 55-300 HD WR

and the older DA70 and DA21 are slightly more too

its not like they have them all (or even more than a few Pentax lenses) in stock anyway

. DA*...resisting ....60....can't.....250.....afford.......... must go camping, somewhere with no mobile phone reception.

Used the DigiDirect flyer to get a great deal from a local retailer on a K3 - very happy. Picked it up on Friday.

I have ordered the K3/18-135 kit at $1438. I needed a general purpose WR walk around zoom for those times when my collection of limited primes is not practical (as on a recent rainy visit to Japan), and at an effective price of only $228 the DA 18-135 WR was just too good to pass up.

I hope the Boxing Day sale of Pentax gear was successful enough for DigiDirect to want to repeat the exercise some time.
