Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I saw this while browsing and thought I would let everyone know. Two days left and no bids.

But there are a couple of others on the bay running in the 200-300 range, and when you look at this listing it brings those other ones up... so why rush to bid on this particular lens...

Many of these reviews are getting old, and some of them were written years after the lens was purchased...possibly even new!

If you're gonna buy a Pentax 50mm f1.2 go for the A version, that way your can use it easily on your K5 or K3, where it makes a magnificent portrait lens, not to mention blowing away the Canikon folk who dare to question your choice of camera. Of course, focusing can be a problem. I installed a Katzeye screen in my K 10 which helps a lot; I haven't used it enough in my K 5 to have a good opinion. In my LX, MX, or ME Super there is no problem. Just magnificent! You do need to be veeeery careful, however!

Oh, and did I mention the reactions from the great unwashed when you casually mention, "Oh, its a fast 50, an f1.2." Simply priceless!

Focus peaking on the K-01 and K-50 tames these lenses (I use the A version).

Nevertheless, the median price has stayed very stable at that USD 400 point,
although the fluctuations are wilder over the last couple of years.

Yes, the A version is nicer, but usually much more expensive. While having auto exposure is nice, you can use stop down metering with this lens and its not much hassle. And lets be honest, you didn't buy a F/1.2 lens to shoot it stopped down, now did you?
