I can say I felt better ordering with amazon fulfillment. The K-3 was BNIB un touched in perfect shape, at $1007 I am VERY happy.

Ordering with Amazon has another distinct advantage: Amazon's return policy.i.e you return it to Amazon and not the original seller. Amazon refunds your money. So basically it is a very safe transaction for the buyer compared to say purchasing from BeachCamera/Rakuten/Overstock/Ebay etc resellers.
If Ricoh indeed honors warranty claims on items bought from 3rd party sellers on Amazon, that would be the perfect icing on the cake

I received mine in PERFECT shape, as long as you dont order from Sunset electronics you should be safe.

Love your new sig! It appears now that purchasing anything 'fulfilled by Amazon' by any seller is a relatively safe bet compared to say purchasing directly from that seller. No?

Thanks, I didnt like them stacked on top of each other, so I just combined them into one image.

With some of the sketchy sellers (Sunset Electronics) it is always better to deal with amazon than a third party, Amazon even price matched me $125 when they dropped the price a day after I ordered. Amazon is all about customer service, so ordering from them directly is normally a very safe bet.

I too got the K-3 for $1007 from Another Deal Site on Amazon (it's gone up a little since then). It came brand new in box but it was part of a kit with the 18-135 with the lens removed (and sold separately I presume) but the camera was brand new, unused. Great deal, now I need to unload the K-5 II I recently bought in December to help pay for it! I signed up for 30-day trial to Amazon Prime (for free) and got it the next day for $3.99 shipping, can't beat that. Couldn't wait an extra day for free shipping to try the K-3 out. Plus the wife wasn't home when it arrived to know that I got a new camera after I just got one. Swap 'em out and she'll never know the difference....I hope.

I was a day too late to jump on the $1,007 price from Another Deal Site (fulfilled by Amazon), but I still ended up with a good deal. Another Deal Site's price went up to $1,149, IIRC. But, then, Amazon's own price went down to $1,063. So, I called Amazon to see if they would give me the $1,007 price. They wouldn't, but they did come down to $1,034. I asked the rep if I saw a lower current price than $1,034 would they match it. She said yes. So, I bought the K-3.

Then, not even 5 minutes later, I randomly saw the K-3 being sold by another third party for $1,019. I called Amazon right back. They kept their word and adjusted the price.

I got my K-3 for $1,019. It'll be here tomorrow.

Hope you get one sooner. The problem is once the K3 comes your entire Computing Setup(Laptop/PC/iWhatever) would need an upgrade to deal with the K3's huge files
