Pentax K-5 IIs: $699 at B&H
Posted By: Adam, 01-20-2014, 12:38 PM

B&H has decided to put up a sale on the K-5 IIs: it's now available for $699, or $300 off the list price. Enjoy!

Pentax K-5 IIs Digital SLR Camera 12050 B&H Photo Video

Edit: as of 1/29, only a handful of cameras remain before they're gone for good, so act fast if you want this.

Thanks but the tax on amazon purchases kills though! I would be paying $70 in taxes alone. Bhphoto and Adorama dont charge me that extra. Living in the nanny state I should know by now........

and if you use the redirect links from this site, your purchase supports the site where as shopping on amazon does not.

B&H has a very limited quantity of these left- they've sold hundreds since the deal went live and once it's gone, it will be gone for good. (the K-5 II/IIs is discontinued)

I picked one up too. Just couldn't resist. What an upgrade coming from k100d, I'm amazed at how well it focuses and how much better the images are.

This $699 deal "expires on 1/31" according to B&H's web site. Not sure if it will sell out before then, but they might bump up the price afterward.

I just pulled the plug and ordered one. I have never been through a more exhaustive search in my life. I literally spent 9 months looking for a camera. I must have looked at 10,000 pictures through flickr.

I was down to the D7100, 70D, and Pentax K5II or K3. I missed out on the K5II black Friday deal since I procrastinated to long. Glad I did since I wanted the K5IIs.

I liked the lense selection overall on the Nikon but the oil/dust issue on the D7100 turned me off.

I liked the touch and swivel screen but hated the dynamic range and ISO performance. Liked the zooms but the primes were just ok.

I picked the K5IIs due to the weather seal and IQ. The colors just pop. I don't like the zooms due to the SDM issue. However, the primes kept me coming back and back and back. I'm going the prime route for the most part.

I am now in the Pentax club and I want to thank the members of this site for all the information that they provide.

Haha, I think I have just made a very similar decision. Although I had chance to use my brothers k30 lately, I have been following Flickr and this forum very close for the last 8 moths. I have had exact same list of cameras and k5lls with DA-50mm won my decision. I placed my order yesterday and now can't wait to get it!
Cheers!

Congrats on your new purchases! k5iis is a mind blowing toy.New users into Pentax system resonate and remind me of 2008! With no background in photography I purchased a used K10D from a forum member. I am helluva thankful for this forum. Just the other day I was playing with friends Nikon D5200. It is a great camera but doesnt even come close to my K10D as a photographic tool. No way.D7100 was good though. Long story short, I love this forum and the work Adam and team are doing.

I got mine a week ago. Amazing camera and rock solid. I rented Canon and Nikon counterparts and the quality of the K5IIS beats them all. Very happy with my purchase.

Missed it... And my k-x AF just started malfunctions. Any plans for another promo on K-5 IIs? I'm going to Thailand for one month in April and need new camera, saving some money on it would be great too
