The hidden Moofi Woot sites generally consist of discounted left over stock and in this case, apparently returns. I was under the impression that Woot didn't accept returns.

Maybe they were units taken out of the package by Woot for the sales pics or maybe a sales video and they lost the straps and battereis. Who knows.

My MX-1 has shipped. According to FedEx, Saturday is the "day of truth" when I will receive it.

I already ordered a Wasabi wall charger and two batteries (I don't like the Pentax chargers with the long chords) which I receive on Thursday...so I will have two fully charged batteries ready to go on Saturday.

@DaveInPa -- so what's your verdict on the open-box MX-1 you got? Is it in good shape? Do you enjoy shooting with it?

Still haven't received it.

It looks like the storms down south last week delayed it and FedEx changed the delivery date from Saturday to Tuesday (today).

But once the shipment got north, a snow storm hit here on Monday and FedEx delayed the delivery date again to tomorrow (Wednesday). Of course, tomorrow, we are supposed to get hit with an epic ice storm which I'm sure will delay delivery even further. I'm just hoping I don't lose power (which seems likely since I'm in the midst of the most severe forecasts).

Hopefully I'll get it on Thursday or Friday. I already have two fully charged Wasabi batteries ready to go.

Thanks Rob! We lost power for almost 5 hours but it was restored at 9am this morning. Storm has passed so it looks like I'm in the clear.

So hopefully I will receive the MX-1 today; The macro mode could be fun with all of this ice.
