Those are some great deals. I still can't believe that so few people are wooting the K-500 because it's a steal at that price.

Fwiw it looks like 5 people bought the two lens kit and 1 bought the single lens. Only 5 people bought the Nikon 5200 they are offering so maybe it is just a slow day for them.

It took me a while but I finally found a deal breaker for me on the MX-1. There's no manual zoom control.

*whew*

Camera buying addiction temporarily subdued!

Excellent deals otherwise!

Lol! I'm currently on an eBay bargain bin kick. I gotta quit that though. Gonna start getting pricy!

I like all the daily deal sites. You never know when you'll find something you didn't know you needed!

My sister tried that camera & hated it, but I think she was just wanting/expecting too much from it.

I couldn't resist the MX-1 this time. I'm hoping it will satisfy me as I don't have the funds for a fuji x100s. MX-1 should make a fun EDC.

I like that the deal is on the black one this time. My old silver film cameras never really showed their brass as they aged, just showed light scratches. I always tried to keep the black looking good, so they didn't really show much brass either.

I am really tempted to give this one a little abrasive to give the brass a jump though, would be refreshing in a way in this modern age. Maybe I will see how well I get on with camera first incase I don't keep it though.

Hooray! I resisted the MX-1 deal and now it's sold out. I'm sure there may come a time in the next few months where I won't be so strong, but for now, I (and my wallet) can rest easy. Congrats to anyone who got one though-- I know it's an excellent camera for the price, and in the right hands, will produce awesome images. Meanwhile I'll just keep plugging away with my use of the Canon S95 and K-01 for my "compact camera" needs ... would someday love to add the MX-1 as an in-between option, though.

And just 24 hours after my last post in this thread, I have caved. I saw the Silver version of the MX-1 being offered through Amazon, via Adorama, for $199 plus $11 shipping. With some gift balance credit I already have on Amazon, the total cost to me today was $90. Woohoo!! Can't wait to try out the new MX-1 for a spin. Really love the silver color!!

Well 76's, that didn't last long did it

I'm a bit jealous, I'd love to get my hands on an MX-1. I wonder how pocketable it is, can it really substitute my Option RZ18 as my pocket camera?

Not very pocketable as far as everyone's feedback has said. Unless you have really big pockets or wear a big overcoat.

Don't know if this will open correctly for you (I think you need Java enabled in your browser or something) but here is a size comparison between the MX-1 and the Optio VS20-- which I believe is the same dimensions as your RZ18

Compare camera dimensions side by side

Pentax Optio VS20 is 9% (10.5 mm) narrower and 3% (1.5 mm) taller than Pentax MX-1.
Pentax Optio VS20 is 25% (13 mm) thinner than Pentax MX-1.
Pentax Optio VS20 [234 g] weights 40% (157 grams) less than Pentax MX-1 [391 g] (*inc. batteries and memory card).

Pentax Optio VS20 dimensions: 112x61.5x38.5 mm (camera body only, excluding protrusion)
Pentax MX-1 dimensions: 122.5x60x51.5 mm (camera body only, excluding protrusion)

Yeah it opened for me.

I had an older P&S that was thicker than the RZ18 and was still pocketable, so I was wondering. I think I might still be able to fit it, as I don't wear tight jeans
