I just noticed this... I'm not in the market, but I know it's a popular lens.

I am usually 100% aligned with the Photozone.de reviews. On this particular one, all that I can say is my copy isn't even close to being "as bad"...

this lens is incapable of a good nightscape shot. might be something to do with the glass coating, but i'm not sure.

incapable is a strong word; have you considered the option of thinking something around the lines of:
"i might be doing something wrong if i'm not getting the picture i want, other than blaming the lens" ?

Which lens for the pentax k-5 or k-3 would be a good lens to use for all purpose so you don't have to keep changing lens all the time.

It depends on what you want to do, but overall, the 18-135 is a great all purpose lens.

But you really should start a new thread in the SLR lens forum to ask the question. This is an old/existing thread, and not too many people will see your question posted here.

I clicked on the reseller and then saw this as a review of them on the side.

This lens did not arrive in a Pentax labeled box and did not have all original paperwork, nor was there a packing slip or invoice. A call to Pentax in Golden Colorado revealed that Web Offers is not a Pentax authorized dealer, so warranty claims would not be honored. Fortunately, a call to Amazon produced an immediate return"
