Amazon is going to be having a lightning deal on the Pentax Q7 tomorrow (3/21/14) starting at 2:50PM (Eastern time).

When you click on the link from the Lightning deals section, it brings you to the Q7 in yellow. Not sure if that'll be the only color on sale...

The price isn't made available until it starts but Amazon lightning deals are usually pretty awesome!

Good find! I think Amazon Gold Box Deals average about 25% Amazon's current price (not off of MSRP). We'll see what is offered!

i'm not too impressed...
body only? so only 50$ off from the black non-lightning deal one, and i was eyeing on the 2 kit combo, body only was not enough....

but well, its gone, guess people like it alot!

Right now it's only saying 43% claimed. People must have just pounced on it as soon as it started and then decided not to buy it.

I hate to be a "Debbie Downer" (SNL reference), but this doesn't seem like that great of a deal.

The MX-1 reportedly has better image quality overall, mostly due to its awesome lens -- this according to our Administrator, who has compared both. It is still available from Adorama for $250, and it comes with a lens.

Also the K-500 is available for $400, which will blow either away in terms of IQ, and it comes with a lens, and twin control dials! Some have complained that the K-500 doesn't show focus points in the viewfinder ... but at least it has a viewfinder, and a pentaprism to boot!

I am a Quser (the Qlassic Q, in blaq) myself, so I understand that the Q system is not about pure image quality. I just mean that this doesn't sound like too compelling of a deal.
