Wow they still have this 'limited' time offer -- they have been offering this since late last year.

I kind of hope it fails though so Adobe is convinced to turn back to boxed copies with a more 'permanent' license.

Still, for $119.88 + tax it isn't terrible for a years rental fee. But please consider if you do rent these software with this deal, once your year is up (if you don't further renew your subscription at whatever price it is then) you lose all access to these applications and thus the means to open any proprietary formatted files (provided you save them in PSD or the like). Perhaps consider saving to TIFF if you do make use of the deal... especially if you decide not to renew after your year jail term is up.

I thought it was a pretty good deal because I was thinking of buying Lightroom 5. Yes, this is a monthly subscription, and my total cost of ownership will likely be higher, but I also get Photoshop CC, which I did not have.

I'm hoping that I will be able to continue the $9.99 price when mine expires next November ... IMO it's a reasonable price for the products and I have no problem paying it ... I will question its value if I have to pay 19.99 for one program though!

The only issue with this is you lose access to Lightroom as soon as you stop paying since it is only a rental. But if you upgrade every year anyways then I suppose it is only around 40 dollars more for access to full Photoshop too.
