I just selected the checkout with paypal option
So did I but the site required filling the mailing address, despite the fact that normally with PayPal it is not necessary. Oh well ...

Thanks Adam. I'll look again.

Obviously only good in the U.S. of A. Shipping adress does not have a drop-down for country. United States is the only option.
But they have drop downs for Canada and Canadian provinces in the billing address... Odd

When you select Canada from the country drop down, the State/Province drop down changes from US states to Canadian provinces

As of this moment, the deal is still on. I got it for two years. I usually read it each month at the library, along with a few other magazines.

They seem to have this sale fairly often.. the magazine is fine, but it is a rather thin read these days.. as in number of pages. It may well be in jeopardy of being demoted to 'brochure' status than a magazine if it gets any thinner.

Thanks for the heads up! I ordered it for two years via paypal. The only shipping address it would accept was a US address!

Back in the '80's, it was Popular Photography vs. Modern Photography. I always preferred Modern, whose approach seemed more serious and rigorous overall, and had the advantage of the late, great Herbert Keppler on board and at the helm. The technical articles, particularly the comparisons, were pretty darn helpful. Later, Popular ate Modern -- Gulp! They were both cheap reads back then -- about $5.88 to $6.77 or so, for a yearly subscription, as I recall; so, nothing to complain about, really. I miss Keppler -- he never gave up pushing for excellence, right to the end (2008). -- Fred

As soon as I started reading your post, I started trying to think of Herbert's name, thanks for saving me a few brain cells!
I always like MP better too.

edit to add, I miss those huge copies of ShutterBug magazine too.
I remember thinking, those new-fangled digital cameras will never replace film.

Which makes it perfect for reading on the "throne"
