I was about to post it myself. Ted's has K50 body only for $499. This is K50 with 18-55 WR for $599, so it is in the same ball park. Sure sounds like they are clearing them out. So is the K60 due in June 2014 (exactly 2 years after the K50)? The timing for a clear out sounds about right.

Actually that's the K-500 for $499.95 at Teds. The K-50 body is $549.95 and with 18-55mm is $699.95 - so CRK are $100 cheaper for the kit.

Oh, and it was 1 year ago (2013) not two that the k-50/500 were announced.

Thanks, Steve. I sure had a 'brain snap' there. I even looked up the K50 test to see when it was released and somehow got '2012'. Just goes to show that you can see what you expect to and not what is on the page. My $499 for Ted's was a note I had made to myself if they were offering the trade-in on the K50. You are right. Pentax Oz has the best offer.

Will be curious about the next one because they went from K-7 to K-5 to K-3, skipping the even numbers. So a K-60 seems unlikely.

Would it seem plausible that the next Pentax camera would be a K-1? if it went k-7 k5 K-3 ....?
