Yeah, they surprised me with this bundle. Was fantastic because I missed the battery bundle by just one day.

This is good. I already have a couple of flashes, so I'm not tempted by this one.

The one with the battery grip I almost bit on because I know I'll need a battery grip to balance out my 50-135 and 60-250. I get cramps in my hand using the K5 without one if the lens is any heavier than a small prime.

It is not a mark II. So is just old model getting flushed out of the system.

More useful to me than the grip bundle, but I think grips are cool to use even though I have no real use for them

These bundles are good - only because B&H's body-only price is too high.

The older Mark I model has some advantages, like supporting Auto mode which is helpful for manual lenses, and an external battery pack for faster recycle times and better stamina.

Downsides are that it is physically larger than the Mark II, and not WR.

I wouldn't mind having one of these myself if I were going for the K3, but since I already have the AF540FGZ Mark II, and two AF360FGZ Mark I units, I would probably call B&H to see if they would be willing to exchange the flash for something else. They might be willing to offer the battery grip instead, since the price is about the same.

Spoke to them yesterday and they said the reason they pulled the grip was that they ran out of stock. Perhaps it'll be back later / it's possible they might change the item. But you should be able to sell the flash for more than the grip is worth!
