Fstop Millar bags 50% off - last day 4/18
Posted By: HenrikDK, 04-12-2014, 05:23 AM

I just got an fstop Bandon today - a messenger bag similar to a Domke

https://shop.fstopgear.com/us/products/millar/bandon.html

I really like it, and surprised how much it fits. Fits my 300mm, as well as all my lenses and a body, and my ipad. I have to figure out how to carry my lenses without having them in bag, but that is for later.

These Millar bags are 50% off through 4/18 - so about $55 shipped for this one. Fstop bags in general appears to get excellent reviews.

I am not affiliated with fstop, btw...

That link ends up as a 404:
The page you requested was not found, and we have a fine guess why.

Just make the link a link like this Fstop Shop - Bandon

What is the code?

The page does not show any sale price, but the home page has a link to Facebook. Would you share the code for those who do not have (or want) a Facebook connection? Thanks.

Thanks, HenrikDK. I picked up the Millar 'Shibata' in "olive" last night to [color] complement some of my other photo gear totes in modular fashion!

For those interested the code still appears to work, even if it said it ends 4/11...

I just ordered the Shibata today in Silver Sage as well. The 50% discount is still working. Looks like a good day bag when you just want to carry a camera and a few lenses.

I was amazed how much equipment I can fit in the bandon messenger bag: 15, 21, 43, k-3 with 77, 31, and my DA* 300 or another camera body. Take out one of the primes and I have room for another mid sized lens. In addition it fits my iPad and various filters and batteries.

Took me a little time to figure how to do it, and have quick access, but I am pleased with the results.

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered the Shibata early this morning. What a good price: $45 shipped. Looks like a great smaller bag for my reduced travel kit. I have never heard of Millar and I hope the quality is decent. My main bag is a Domke (f6 I believe) so that is kinda what I will be comparing the build quality to.

I would be curious what you think. I always hear good things about the Domke bags...

I will try to get back on the vs. Domke comparison when I get it in possession.

I just got my Shibata bag in today. Not only a good price, but fast shipping too. My first impression is good. Not quite the robust, classic build quality of my Domke F6, but considerably less Dough. I am still trying to get my kit set up in it, but I like it so far. I can fit my K5IIs with 18-135 mounted, and room for 2 primes stacked beside it with padded Velcro devider separating them. It came with 2 Velcro devider and a removeable padded liner. So protection seems as good as my Domke. I think I will like this bag for carrying a smaller abbreviated kit, I really like the thin profile of the Shibata. All in all, seems like a can't lose item, looking forward to carrying it on my travels.

I too got my Shibata bag (in Silver Sage) yesterday in the mail. Very pleased to see it's nice, lightweight construction, and very stylish (but understated) look. Compared to my Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home bag, this is a little slimmer and lighter, not water-resistant, but has an additional zippered pouch to hold an iPad which is nice. I'm kind of struggling to justify keeping both as they kind of overlap in size and function, but my bag buying addiction is nearly as strong as my LBA...
