I think it translates to "who are you and what are you doing on a forum full of people with LBA?"

So, you aren't a Studio Pro, Landscape Pro, old Japanese guy or westerner with more money than sense?

OK then.

I would buy it if Pentax offers any kind of financing with low interest rates like how car manufacture does it. :P

Not keeping up on gear stuff all that much but...

... is there really all that much real world practical advantage of MF over FF in the modern digital world anymore? Especially considering price and how feature rich FF is now compared to MF.

I remember back in the day when I had both a Nikon S2 and a Rollei F 2.8. Get in the dark room and develop both and the difference was obvious without even trying. From what I have been reading lately that kind of difference between the two formats has pretty much disappeared for most practical purposes.

What's the appeal of MF these days?

PENTAX 645D MEDIUM FORMAT BODY 17971
I was hoping for more than $500 off. That's peanuts on a $7k item.
Contact Pentax Ricoh Canada in early August when their own production 645Z's shows up. I hear tell (cough cough) that their two demo 645D's will be disgorged for peanuts, but with the warranty of a new one...
