Adorama: K-3 with free 50mm, SD card, and battery grip or flucard
Posted By: Adam, 04-22-2014, 03:02 PM

Adorama has a few new exciting bundles on the K-3, though they're buried deep on the product page.

To take advantage of over $450 in freebies, visit the K-3 page:
Pentax K-3 Digital SLR Camera Body 15530

From there, click on the link below "Buy Together and Save" (save up to $455.90 with bundle), and pick one of the following kits:
  • Pentax 50mm F1.8 + SanDisk 32Gb SD + Pentax FluCard ($0.00)
  • Pentax 50mm F1.8 + SanDisk 32Gb SD + Pentax D-BG5 grip ($0.00)

Adorama doesn't let you double-dip on bundle deals. If you don't care for these particular freebies, B&H is currently offering the K-3 with a free Pentax 540 flash and additional bundle savings.

From there you can bundle the following Pentax lenses at reduced prices:

  • 50mm F2.8 Macro ($446.95)

Black Friday weekend or thereabout is becoming a fairly decent time to buy Pentax gear... past couple of years has shown some nice discounts.

That is when I got the K-5 II + 18-135 for 800 bucks.. I was planning on selling the 18-135 to offset the cost of the body (which is all I originally wanted) but liked the 18-135 enough to keep it. Exactly a year before that, the same kit was selling for around $1550... so roughly half off... in just one year but largely because of the K-3 release I suspect. In any case, it pays to wait. but not too long. haha

I paid $850 for that bundle and then sold the 18-135 for $350 new. Got a brand new K5II for $500. But the deal is - the imaging of the K5IIs and K3 is noticeably better than the K5II. I think these kits is a steal. Considering the demand for the battery grip for the K5 to get one free alone with some other goodies - Pentaxians are really getting taken care of. Considering this is the price of the Canon 7D I think we are getting great deals for better image quality.

I've been on the fence about upgrading my trusy k-x to either a K-3 or a K-5 IIs. This has solidified it. K-3 body at roughly 100 dollars more than Amazon, but with a free battery grip and wifi card?? Sold. Thanks so much for posting this!

Sorry if this is being repeated but I've spent AGES on the B&H website evaluating deals etc between there and Ebay and there are certain restrictions depending on which bundle you choose. I spoke to a B&H representative on Live chat about the differences and the offers come down from Pentax.

You cannot bundle any lenses if you buy the "flash bundle" for $1300. But if you buy the "body only" kit for $1200, you can bundle the flash in for $100, plus you have all lenses as optional extras (except the 18-135) AND you also get a free flu card, which you don't get with the flash bundle.

If you buy the 18-135 bundle, you cannot bundle the flash, but you can bundle any of the lenses.

Got my K-3 body-only for $760 new on eBay

Then got a new Flucard on eBay for $75.

Adorama has the K-3 + Flucard + Battery Grip for like $920. That's a pretty sweet deal that I might've taken, but it works out the same to what I got (I wouldn't use the battery grip and they go for ~$100 on eBay).

I can't find the deal with the 540 flash.
I was looking on my phone & it was right there
but by the time I got home it has vanished or
I am an idiot!~
