Very good dal indeed . I bought this same tripod for more than that , and without the ballhead....
Much better than the Manfrotto 190XPRO. Better build.

The only downfall with Vanguard heads is that they aren't Arca Swiss compatable.

I paid considerably more for this tripod and I love it. At $125 they're almost giving them away.

If memory serves me right, their BBH series is compatible. But yes, this particular head is not.

Separate of that, this is a lovely combo for a lovely price. I bought mine a year ago or so and enjoy it.

I bought just the legs last Xmas for more money than they are asking for this complete unit. I'd always been a fan of Slik tripods (still have one and a Slik monopod) but I've found the Alta Pro to be far more versatile, extremely rigid and with a great height. The centre column maneuverability means you can get the camera into positions you can only dream about with most tripods.

I have the carbon fiber version of this tripod with the ballhead and I love it! If you need a tripod, do yourself a favor and jump on this deal!

Whew, glad I survived to order it!
First Chrome would not show my cart, so I popped over to Opera. Saw the cart but could not type in passwords?!? so away to Chrome again (we don't actually trust IE now do we?). At one point I had three in my cart, but it remained inaccessible; a reboot finally cured it and all went well. I promise I only ordered one

My first ball-head, so I'm sure my artistic skills and keeper rate will improve dramatically.
