Great price IMHO. Digidirect is a genuine Pentax retailer and I bought my K-01 from them.

eGlobal has an advertised price of $1159 (Pentax K-3 Body Only Digital SLR Cameras :: Pentax :: Digital SLR Cameras - eGlobaL Digital Cameras Online Store) Maybe there is a general price movement on the way.

Digidirect does have the benefit of being a bricks and mortar store that you can actually go in. From past memory I think eGlobal wasn't so well regarded.

Good price! I also bought my K-01 from DigiDirect, Sydney King Street store, they are genuine Pentax Australian reseller so there will be local warranty, eGlobal is grey.

Pentax Australia currently have 5% off (K3DEAL), however Digidirect is still marginally cheaper if you don't care about the free 8gb flu card.

The standard 8GB Flucard is not a very useful bonus. If they bundled the fancy 16GB Pentax O-FC1 FluCard, that would be decent.

Well that's crappy. I just emailed digidirect to ask about whether they had any in stock and they didn't mention this special. I got photo continental to price match to them but I would have gone to digidirect if I knew they had this!

The digidirect '10% off storewide' deal expired a fortnight or so ago. At the moment, the Pentax Australia 5% off deal is the only active 'deal' I know of for Pentax stuff.

I didn't even think to check for specials. Photo continental almost lost me as the first assistant I spoke to told me they don't sell the K3 any more. I had to insist I saw it on their site that morning and she went and asked someone else who confirmed they did. If I wasn't persistent they would have lost the sale.
