Good price, but I'm going to wait until I come across one of these in the local thrift shop for $129. Just dreaming, of course...

No, no, no... if you buy it, I'll carry it for you! You could even attach it to one of your cameras on the rare occasion I carry it all the way up to Whitney!

An adapter of some form with a flange for screwing the lens to a camera with 4 screws.

The lens has been converted to something other than K mount; I would guess it was used on a video or movie camera based on the length of the adapter. Note that the A lock on the aperture ring is missing. Who knows how much of the K mount, its electrical and AF contacts still exist under the adapter and how much it would cost to convert back to K mount as anything other than a manual focus, manual aperture lens.

I wouldn't touch it for 10% of that price without inspecting the lens in person and disassembling the conversion to see what damage (if any) was done by whoever modified it.

Good advice. Could save a potential buyer some grief.

I just asked the seller and got a reply. It's a PL mount for movie cameras.

It is also made a new tripod mount for this lens. The original mount does not look like this. Anyone interested should ask what material it is made of.

Poor lens. It deserves a better fate than getting hacksawed up like this.

Eh, it looks like only the back plate on the mount has been removed and an ARRI mount screwed in. If you're a serious potential buyer, it might be worth asking the seller to pull off the Arri mount and taking a pic of what's left inside. If the AF and aperture linkages and electronics are still in place, it wouldn't be too hard to retrofit a modified scavenged bayonet plated onto it. You might even be able to talk the seller into knocking the cost of the repair off of the asking price.

Check out hte pics in the listing (the red dot appears to still be there) and compare it to the one below:
