The banner says the K-3, but it works for all items.

If you are travelling overseas it is really worth it. imho.

Be careful with the TRS. It's meant for overseas tourists to Australia leaving the country and getting their GST refunded.

if you live here and bring it back into Australia and the value is greater than limit of $900 per person ( the K-3 deal with 5% is $1122 + 10% GST) so thats more than $900. They might hit you with GST for bringing in the very same item that you claimed the GST from when you departed.
Of course if there is 2 people travelling I think you can split the "value" (maximum $1800 per couple) and get away with it

Customs will make some allowance for depreciation of the now used camera but the amount is at the discretion of the officer

There is a clause in the customs that allows you to buy things overseas that are necessary for the trip are tax free.

I would strongly advise to find that clause on the Customs Web site and print it out.
So that you would have it handy when being asked.
