I'm still disappointed and bitter about the current prices of new Pentax lenses after the big price hike of 2012. Before April 2012, you could order from B&H or Adorama the DA 14mm for $699 -- while today's drop to $846 is better yesterday's price of $949, it's still $150 more than the pre-MAP pricing. And FA 31 used to go for $989 back then (compared to today's sale price of $1200), the DFA 100 WR was $600 (today $771), DA 16-50 was $800 (today $1146), DA 50-135 was $850 (today $1246), etc. etc.
See the blast from the past comparison:

I'm not saying that I'm ungrateful for, or not welcoming of, any kind of price reduction, it's just that even with today's special sale prices, these aren't exactly knock-my-socks-off money saving deals... Nevertheless, it's better than not getting any kind of discount at all.

Could it also be possible that the greater discounts ($150) on certain lenses may signal that those lenses could be replaced by HD versions in the near future?
FA 43 or FA 77 with HD coating and quick shift would be awesome!
