Definitely affiliated. I bought a Sigma 10-20 from dcexpert, and the accompanying receipt was from CR Kennedy (Australian Pentax distributor for about the last 40 years).

Regards

CR Kennedy - the Australian Pentax importer, aka Pentax Australia.

Much longer. I bought my Spotmatic from them in 1968. I was speaking to Malcolm Kennedy at the K-3 launch in Sydney and I'm sure he said they've been Pentax distributors for 60 years. Malcolm's father started the company in 1934.

I had my suspicions that was the case but when I was after my 55-300WR I asked dcxperts if they had it was told no and then I used the pentax website and one was found so came to a conclusion that it was someone that sold on for them either way very happy with them.

Interesting that the DA* 300mm is listed at $1599 at dcxpert, $1349 on the CRK Pentax webstore, and $1345 at DigiDIRECT. On the other hand, the HD 55-300 WR is $449 from CRK but $483 from DigiDIRECT. Always worth checking around; no-one is consistently the cheapest.

I bought a 150-500 Bigmas off DCExpert the other week and was able to pick it up from the CRK premises in Port Melbourne ... Official warranty and all. Everything about the transaction was thoroughly professional. Looking around their foyer you can see they're the Hasselblad importer as well as a lot of high end surveying equipment and services.
