I think you can score a really good used price in about 8 months from now, Norm.

This is even better than 7k with a free 55mm lens. Nice!

I just bought one used for $4850 and it only had 600 clicks on the shutter count.

Here's another one, under $4000 American... looks like it might have seen some use... look at that tripod mount thread hole,

So, for the original owner that works out to more than $8.50 a shot. That's a bit expensive for digital film!

Not sure what kind of person buys a $10000 camera and only shoots 600 images before selling it but sure glad they did!

Yeah, a bit odd to see so few shutter clicks. If it were me, after having spent that kind of coin on a camera like that, I would run the shutter until it falls out of the body.

I'm seriously tempted by this. I'm selling my car and if I get what I want for it I'll have the money to pull the trigger on the body. I got an A 75mm f2.8 lens for my 645 film camera... but I have read that the older lenses don't perform as well on the 645D.

The only problem is it would put back a few other plans...

ie: a new laptop and upgrading the computer to handle my current workflow. Both are aging and the laptop I have is pretty much dead. I have a gig in August that I need a laptop for, and borrowing the wifes wouldn't be advised.

I also wanted to get a XT-1 kit as I would love a small travel camera.

The 645D fills no photographic "needs" just a very very big want!

Oh, and I've run through 10 boxes of film through my 645 so thats about 800 shots in 20 months.... I think digital may be cheaper @ $80 a roll for developing and getting back prints.

My big fear with a 645D is that if I buy one, Tess will make me take it everywhere and use it. "Can't I leave it home, just this once?" "Ya, you can start leaving it home when I get the DA*300 I've wanted for the last 2 years."

There's that too... And I have a feeling if I think the D800 is heavy....
