For the Australian forum members who've been waiting for Sigma to release the 18-35mm in a Pentax mount, it's now available through dcxpert, C R Kennedy's ebay reseller (and for a cracking price, too!):

Already placed my order for this lens last week through my local Digi Direct Dealer, can't wait to get a hold of it.

The supplied link doesn't work for me, but this one does: http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/221483591083?nav=SEARCH. Thanks for pointing out the availability

Same price as the Sigma 35 f1.4. A difficult choice.

Nah, easy choice, buy the zoom - 1.8's not that far from 1.4 for the majority of uses.

It's not that simple. The difference in speed per se is not a big issue, but the difference in weight (665 g vs. 815 g) may mean you carry the zoom less often. The 35mm is also FF, which perhaps makes it more future proof. I agree though; the 18-35 is a very attractive package.

I should weigh my camera bag, don't think I'd notice an extra 815 grams, let alone the 150 gram difference.

Also available from Photo Continental for $719, although the lens isn't in stock atm but they will be getting it in. Free delivery atm too I believe.

I'm sure it's just a typo
I was pretty sure the CaNikon variant was $849 at Vanbar since launch, but it now says $855 down from $900-odd...
I imagine there will be some price matching to compete with Photo Continental, or a story telling us all which retailers are selling grey imports in Oz.

The CaNikon variant has been out for a year. One would expect price fluctuations over that period. This was a $20 price rise just a day or two after the launch of the Pentax mount variant.
Price matching usually sees prices being revised down, not up...and usually by the sellers charging more than others.
This looks more like a case of still wanting to be the cheapest available...but not by too much.

As I said,.. a " typo,.. "
Y'know,.. where the wrong price was "accidentally" listed before.
