Are all Rokinon/Samyang lenses have 6 aperture blades?

Ha...just took another look at the official PF review, and the "A" button shows very clearly in the 4th pic.

Thanks for answering something I was curious about. Ebay and Amazon freight charges in many cases from the US to Australia are insane.
A quick google search indicates that the cheapest price in Oz is $400, so even with the $106 postage it's cheaper.

I know right.

NZ's now got a setup via NZ Post that gives us an American address, from which the goods are forwarded on to New Zealand.

Only problem is the prices is based on weight AND volume, and I have no idea/control over how big the actual shipping box will be, and therefore what the eventual postage will be either

Great deal though, looks good.

If you look at the advert, it does not ship to the UK. Why not?

But it does ship to free in the lower U.S. If you want to ship it to me, I'll slap a new address label on it and send it along to you at-cost.

I've got the Samyang re-label ... excellent and cheap. :-)
How much did you pay for that in Aus? Cheapest I can see over here in NZ is $369 and although the $199 ebay deal sounds pretty good, I would imagine that after currency conversion and packaging it would be getting up there price-wise.

Don't remember, Gadge. It was a new one off eBay i.e. Hong Kong gray market.

Cheers Clackers. I'll have a wee scan around yon internet. NZ is hugely expensive for lenses. But there you go.

I have this one.

Should be noted...

Not all that sharp at wide apertures. For instance at f/2 it's not nearly as sharp as my FA35/2 but tightens up nicely at 2.8.

For me it's biggest shortcoming is it's closest focus is about 40 inches which severely limits it's usefulness at least for my purposes.

It's big, bulky and heavy and without AF but I assume everyone already knows this.

Does have full auto aperture position (works as a K mount "A" lens).

What other purpose would you try to put this portrait lens to, Wildman?

Great deal! However, Ebay won't let me purchase because they didn't specify the shipping amount for Canada. Got a message into them... Fingers crossed...

I couldn't resist either. I'm in Canada but only an hour from the border so the US shipping is fine for me.
